01 - 8 slices white sandwich bread
02 - 8 slices mozzarella cheese or 7 oz block mozzarella, sliced into sticks
→ Coating
03 - 2 large eggs
04 - 2 tbsp milk
05 - 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
06 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
07 - 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (optional)
08 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
09 - Salt and pepper, to taste

10 - 1 cup warmed marinara sauce
# Method Steps:
01 - Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
02 - Trim crusts from bread slices. Place 4 slices on a flat surface, top each with mozzarella sticks or slices, then cover with remaining bread to form sandwiches.
03 - Press sandwiches firmly and cut each into three narrow fingers.
04 - Whisk eggs and milk together in a shallow bowl.
05 - In another bowl, combine panko, Parmesan, Italian herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
06 - Dip each finger in egg mixture, then press into breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
07 - Place coated fingers in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Work in batches if necessary.
08 - Cook for 4 minutes, flip the fingers, then air fry an additional 3–4 minutes until golden and crispy.
09 - Serve immediately with warmed marinara sauce for dipping.
